Best PS3 Games Now

Atop my particle board coffee table, right beside the sump pump in my basement, sits the Majestic Monolith named the Playstation 3. The juxtaposition between this device of wonder and the dark and dreary environment it resides in makes this writer sit back and marvel at the modern day tale of Beauty and the Beast. A system marveled for superiority with streaming, playing, and creating media now sits in a basement along side neglected Christmas decorations. How is this so? Unfortunately many consumers purchase a Playstation 3 as a wonderful Game Console, not realizing they are purchasing so much more. However, when you sell a game console, in order to have a dedicated fan base, you must have the games to back it up. I was excited to see the video of the “Best PS3 games Now”. Here I am looking for a terrific gaming experience, and little bits of viral video such as this re-ignite my love for this system. This video, extinguished such flame. I don’t want to come off as a snob, it’s just that when selling someone on the Best PS3 games out there, one would expect a little bit of objective reasoning. All we were presented with were pre rendered cut scenes from games synched with music that had nothing to do with the game itself. I really enjoyed “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2″, however I do not need music from the X-Box game “Halo” to sell the game. Also when making the argument about the best PS3 games, you would expect information about games exclusive to the PS3. This short was just a fan made video and nothing more. My advise, when creating a video review about the “Best Games out there”, be sure to include video of game play. The over selling and hype of these cut-scenes is a bait and switch tactic used ever since these game companies found out that the pre rendered scenes look much better than the game itself. Sure it may sell, but resentment amongst current gamers could ruin such companies.
