Thor movie Review

Marvel movies know what they are doing: a clear action, strong performances and intelligent scripts. Of course, the study allowed their mistakes after so many successes (here's looking at you, Iron Man 2), but more often than not, Marvel is the Nails, especially in its set-up for the Avengers movie long expected. We have had Iron Man, Black Widow and The Incredible Hulk, we're getting Captain America, and now we Thor – the god of thunder. Not only thunder, lightning and fertility but and strength (thanks, Wikipedia). And if anyone can embody fertility force and the weather is Chris Hemsworth. Tall, blond, husky – casting has to be the ideal – and a film haunted by political intrigue, hysteria heart light, and the greatness of Shakespeare, Kenneth Branagh has to be the ideal director.

The film opens in Asgard, a powerful kingdom in the other world, where the respected King Odin (Anthony Hopkins) has two children who both want the throne, the ironic and clever Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and the arrogant and brutally strong Thor (Hemsworth). Thor is a proud warrior with a big group of friends who follow him into battle against the Frost Giants, a career of his father with pride once defeated. By Of course, this goes against the wishes of his father, so Thor stripped of his powers and his only weapon – a hammer famous – and he and the hammer are banished to Earth through a wormhole. That the lands in New Mexico, the meeting (ie: being beaten by car) three scientists: Jane (Natalie Portman), Erik (Stellan Skarsgard) and Darcy (Kat Dennings). Hammer soon after their land, and hunting is he to recover with the help of scientists. Meanwhile, a war begins to brew in Asgard between the kingdom and the Frost Giants in retaliation for invasion of Thor.

Thor is interesting to adapt to its deadly form and get used to life on Earth. What is even more interesting tonal options for Branagh film – is a very glad to take with attractive design and special effects in 3D, and Branagh knows how to balance the humor (of which there are plenty) and drama (which is heavier). Although Hamlet direction back in '96, had good knowledge in finding humor in tragedy and vice versa. For a glimpse into the dark side of humor, and better look at his talent as a director, check out to Sleuth (2007) Law and Michael Caine Jude. Most impressive about the effects was the use of 3D. I know my readers, but they are thinking, "Wait … 3D really liked? "And yes, I did. It served its purpose, this time, the film was light weakly, but the 3D action was clear and does not distract us from what was happening. 3D usually only makes a darker film, and this was not the case here.

The actions are the sell movies like this. Iron Man was one of Robert Downey, Jr. 's strong performance in years, Edward Norton brought a lot of empathy with the Hulk. Chris Hemsworth Thor makes credible, despite the whopping character and history in general. He plays Thor as a child, something – maybe just a very impetuous teenager power – and learn to be the hero has to be. Natalie Portman could also be a Disney princess, but his love for Jane Foster for Thor is tangible, and make sweetest couple. Stellan Skarsgard, and Kat Dennings have amazing chemistry as a comedy team, and Skarsgard can steal scenes from anyone he chooses, he is a powerful actor. Anthony Hopkins destroys some stage, but his character is larger than life, so it could come with the territory.

Less performances, however, really seal the film together. Idris Elba has a small role as a castle guard, and leaves a lasting impression. Rene Russo returns to the big screen as the mother of Thor, and while it is barely noticeable, which offers what is basically a cameo with enough to be effective without being distracting. It's good to be back to her. Colm Feore offers a tremendous performance as the frost giant soft Laufey King, which is viscous and slippery with evil. Jeremy Renner Hawkeye has been introduced, and Clark Gregg is back from Iron Man movies as Agent Coulson, the leader of SHIELD, who is in search of Thor and the hammer. You know it's an Avengers movie because Coulson made a few jokes at the expense of Tony Stark.

An example of the easy tone of the film: Thor and the three scientists are in a restaurant in New Mexico, and Thor is no coffee. "This drink is delicious! More!" He shouts, and slams his cup on the floor like a Norse god would at most require wine. Portman instant reaction of the mother begins the start of a beautiful friendship. Another example: the discovery of hammers hosted on a rock in the desert leads a number of the Sword and the House as attempts to remove it. There is a cameo that does not want to give her. And, as usual for Marvel, is a scene after the credits establishes a next movie.

I look forward to more of Chris Hemsworth, hopefully not in many movies Thor, as he has the talent to not only be an action hero, and if there is another movie Thor, I'd love to go back the same cast, Branagh directing them again. I think maybe I've been in disrepair, but the project just feel different otherwise. This is the best avenger films as Iron Man first, and one of the best superhero movies I've seen in a long time. It is, without doubt, The Green Hornet, and is a hell of a start to the season superhero. Captain America out soon, The Green Lantern after that, after the reboot of Spider-Man … even if they end up being terrible, at least we Thor to fall again. And who better to trust him?
