Movie Review Double Hour

Why are they showing the same movies over and over again on Australian television?
Examples include Face / Off, Double Jeopardy, air conditioning, Mrs. Doubtfire and Air Force One I say that there are literally thousands of other films (some better, some worse, but at least different) that could be shown instead. Are there any networks that addresses these movies so you can always show for free? Or just lazy? What really gets to me is that a lot of very good reviews and / or popular films are not shown at all. Examples include The Aviator, Finding Neverland, Sideways, Lost in Translation, Chicago, The Lord of the Rings and Fargo, but could go on for hours.
Payment networks for the right to show a film, and the agreement are a number of repetitions (no name for the right in question, but I can not remember what that is). Some deals may include a right of endless repetition, so of course they are going to be shown more than others. The reason some films that can not get shown at all is that in reality are not yet available to broadcasters, or are stupidly expensive or may have been part of a package of films that must be acquired and the network does not want do that. So yes, there will be phases where it seems that these films get shown again and again. But step back and different films, and the next year or so will also be different.
