Movie review, Iron Man2
This was a sequel that I was highly anticipating. Jon Favreau returns as the director. He also likes to throw himself in the movie for comic relief as he did in the first movie. Which I say the more he puts himself in front of the camera the better each scene gets. Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as Tony Stark, his swagger and comedic timing are as fined tuned as it will ever be. Just wait till you watch the Court room scene between Stark and Senetor Stern (played by Gary Shandling). In addition to Downey, the sequel was rewarded with an all-star cast, Samuel L. Jackson (playing Nick fury), Scarlett Johanson( playing Natalie Rushman / Natasha Romanoff) , Don Cheadle(Lt. Col. James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes / War Machine)
who takes over for Terrence Howard , and Mickey Rourke(Ivan Vanko). While Cheadle did not play a new character, and because of my own skeptics of changing an actor to play a character in a sequel, I was ready for the worst. But when the end credits rolled I was very happy with his performance and had nothing bad to say about him, good work Don. I wish I could say the same for Mickey Rourke. When I first saw the trailer i was on the edge of my seat. I am a big fan of Rourke. I am going to be honest here, I did not see a reason for him to be in this movie. They could of saved the money and hired someone else to do some horrible acting. Now I’m not saying he is a horrible actor, but I do think that it was hard to understand him sometimes and his speaking parts were not that relative to the movie. Other than that I think all the characters brought their own light to the screen when they were given the chance. The story was I thought a better story than the first, the action was dialed up a notch, and I believe the special effects were amazing. When you walk into the theaters you are all ready excited to see the second installment in the trilogy. When you walk out of the theaters you wish they would have shot the trilogy like the Matrix, Nobody wants to wait a whole year or more to see the next one. If you want my opinion, and I assume that you do, that’s why you are reading this. GO SEE IT! Have fun and enjoy
