The Legend of Zelda

Based on the popular game designed by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, comes the motion picture The Legend of Zelda, a story of a boy who must rescue the princess and save the kingdom of Hyrule before evil takes over and rules the land. The official trailer starts off with showing how it all began, with young Link who soon finds he has a greater destiny. Link is an ordinary young man who works at his father’s side tending to the crops which is how his family gets by,

one day he goes into town with his father who is giving Link an opportunity to accompany him to the castle for some business. His father gives him strict rules that he is to follow while in town, such as mind your manners, do as I say, don’t speak to anyone and of course, don’t touch anything. However, Link finds it hard to obey the last of those rules when he finds something that is too irresistible, a relic called the triforce. The triforce is a set of three golden triangles of omnipotence which include courage, wisdom and power. The triforce Link comes to find happens to be the triforce of courage; when he touches it the triforce marks him and he then becomes “the courageous one” and the “Hero of Time”. Soon after he is marked he is taken to a place where mythical creatures exist openly, there he meets Princess Zelda. The princess holds the triforce of wisdom and tells him all he needs to know. As the Hero of Time he has been guarded by a secret race that has been waiting for him to arrive and save their kingdom, Hyrule. Zelda takes him to the Temple of Time which is what he will need if he is to save them all.

The evil that has crept in is unstoppable and it is too late for Princess Zelda to do anything about it except guide Link in what he must do, she then takes him into the temple and tells him that when the doors open again it will be seven years in the past. As the doors began to close she tells him he must find her again and he is then locked in alone. While Link is locked in the Temple of Time he finds what he needs to start on his quest, his armor and the well-known woodland cap and garments. Then the real adventure begins; Link is taken back to when there was a chance of saving Hyrule, which means fighting dragons, serpents, giant monsters that threaten anyone near, narrowly escaping strange machines guarding mountaintops, defending friends, and facing Ganon. Ganon is the evil that threatens the kingdom of Hyrule, a devil-looking being who wields a giant sword; he is also the one who holds the triforce of power. Courage and Wisdom will stand up to Power and fight for the future of the kingdom. It is a truly riveting portrayal of the game and is sure to blow the audience away.
