Tom Cruise and The Movie Salt, Big Review

The film “Salt”, was to originally star Tom Cruise as the main character, however, Cruise subsequently dropped out of the film and was replaced with Angelina Jolie, and all I have to say about that is THANK YOU! I could not imagine anyone else in this film besides Angelina Jolie. Jolie has really proven to be, not just a great female action star, but just a great all around action star among men and women. The film starring Jolie showcases the actress at her peak of kick ass supremacy!

Jolie portrays federal agent, Evelyn Salt. Salt is sent in to interview a Russian defector who is volunteering information about a plan to assassinate the president in New York City, the name of the assassin….Evelyn Salt. All indicators including a lie detector says the defector is telling the truth. Federal agents seek to detain her and question her to obtain the truth before an attempt is made on the president’s life, so what’s a girl to do? Well if you are Angelina Jolie you start knocking some heads together to clear your name and maintain your reputation.

This movie is packed with really good action and fight sequences and has plenty of twist and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat, and leave you questioning what you know. With all of the action sequences, good dialogue, and excellent direction I would give this film four out of five stars and definitely one of the summer films to see in 2010. This movie is definitely a must see, If you enjoyed Mr. and Mrs. Smith or Wanted you will really enjoy Salt. It will definitely remind you of why everyone is fascinated with the angelic Angelina!
