The Dark Knight or Avatar?

Possibly the two biggest movies of the 00′s decade. Best reviewed of the decade vs the best grossing.

If I were to choose, I’d go with The Dark Knight. Much better story and acting, not to mention all the action and thriller. Unpredictable, too. ^_^

Avatar is good but the overall story wasn’t very original in my opinion. The effects and message were good but I found it only worthwhile watching in 3D not DVD. IMO, it was pretty overrated.

What does the Yahoo Answer community say?

I’d go with The Dark Knight.

Have Avatar fans not seen the superior acting by Heath Ledger? He had already set a limit for any movie supervillain, and even surpassed expectations beyond Silence of the Lambs’ Hannibal Lecter and the previous Joker, Jack Nicholson. Don’t forget that the effects, drama, action, and thrill were executed in the movie excellently.

Batman fan or not, The Dark Knight is amazing. Don’t get me wrong, Avatar’s visuals and messages were uber, but The Dark Knight has set one of the best standards ever in Hollywood.
