Having problems with some drivers on my comp any advice would be sweet and you will get the thumbs up if it works?

Ok just bought an Epson Stylus Photo R230 when I installed the driver for audio (microphone chat) will not work. The same applies to the driver of my webcam. Now I have updated all of these drivers, but to talk and print are useless. My soundcard is an AC97 audio controller, so I went to realtek site i run XP Pro 2002 version 2.0. So if I have voice chat, while the printer driver I have no audio input. Every time I want to voice chat I have to restore and when using the printer I have to undo the restoration. Any idea what could be causing this?
